CLEVELAND, Tenn. – In their first appearance in the NAIA National Championship opening round the Bacone Warriors split in games against Avila (Mo) and Lee (Tenn.) University on Thursday, May. 10.
In the opening game starter Justin McGee had his best start to date as he allowed one run while scattering eight in the complete game win; McGee improved to 4-6 on the year with the victory.
After the Eagles grabbed the early 1-0 lead the Warriors countered with four runs in the fourth; with the bases loaded Casey Gillespie drew a walk to bring home the first run for Bacone.
