Welcome to Bacone Rodeo

August 1, 2011

Thank you for your interest in Bacone College Rodeo. I am the head coach for the rodeo program at Bacone and would like to give you some information about our program.

Bacone College is a private, four-year liberal arts college with a student population of approximately 900. The student / teacher ratio is typically 1-20. Our campus is small which allows us to offer a family atmosphere. The City of Muskogee has a great selection of shopping, entertainment, restaurants, and employment opportunities.

In 2007, the rodeo facility was moved to the campus. We have a 250 x 140 outdoor arena and two barns, which provide over 40 stalls. Practice is held each afternoon at the facility.

Our program is a relatively new program, however, we have made tremendous strides in the past several years. In 2003, Bacone’s Stephen Reagor earned the title of National Champion Calf Roper in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. In recent years, we have produced regional champions in calf roping and team roping. The 2004 season, Bacone alumni Destry Graham and Wendell Stanley were named Regional Champion Header and Heeler.

Thanks again for the opportunity to share some information about our program. We have scholarships available and I look forward to visiting with you about joining our Team. Please feel free to call me at 918-781-7265 if you have any questions.
