Six Warriors Named to RRAC All-Conference

WACO, Texas – The Red River Conference baseball All-Conference team was released over the weekend with three Warriors named to the first team with six players being honored.
Seniors Wade Morten and Anthony Seabolt along with Tim Hill received selection to the RRAC All-Conference first team.
Morten finished the year second on the team in batting average, hitting .369 with six homeruns and 44 RBIs; he also led the Warriors in slugging percentage at .565.
Seabolt led Bacone in batting average at .399 with 13 doubles and 27 RBIs; he snagged 15 stolen bases and was second on the team in slugging percentage at .509.
Hill was tied or led the Warriors in nearly every pitching category; the southpaw finished with a 7-3 record with a 2.47 ERA with 79 strikeouts.
Seniors Kyle Pietryga, Adam Huizar and junior Jonathan Villela were named to the RRAC All-Conference second team.
Pietryga finished the 2013 campaign hitting .314 with two homeruns and 35 RBIs; the senior was second on the team in on base percentage at .486.
Huizar led Bacone in innings pitched with 71.1 innings pitched while posting a 7.3 record with a 3.41 ERA.
Villela was fourth on team in average at .347 with 40 RBIs, 59 hits and seven doubles; the junior was also recognized as a part of the RRAC All-Glove team.
Additionally, Seabolt was named to the RRAC All-Glove team as well and chosen as a member of the RRAC Champions of Character team.
