Bacone Holds Off McPherson 88-66

MUSKOGEE, Okla. - The Bacone Warriors never trailed on Saturday as they rolled to a 88-66 victory over McPherson College at the Palmer Center.

Bacone built a 13-point halftime lead and led the Bulldogs by as much as 25 points to move to 2-4 on the season.

"We were better defensively tonight," head coach Alan Foster said. "We were able to stop them getting in the lane and from there we were able to force them into some tough jump shots."

For the game the Warriors knocked down 55 percent (31-of-56) while going 20-for-26 at the free throw line.

Derrick Thomas paced the Warriors attack with 23 points, Christian Smith finished with 18 points and 12 boards and Geo Brewer pumped in 17.

Bacone (2-4) travels to face Southwestern College on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.
