Briggs Named Scholar Athlete

MARION, Ind. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Friday, May 24 that 204 men’s track and field student-athletes have been named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes which included Damon Briggs.

Previously, Briggs was a previous recipient for the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete award for men’s cross-country.

Student-athletes are nominated by their institution’s head coach and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status in order qualify for the honor.
